The Annual Live Nativity is our
congregation’s gift to the
community.  It is an activity in
which all members of our
congregation and visitors alike can
participate. The live nativity is the
story of Jesus’ birth acted out by
anyone who wishes to participate.
The Senior Lunch Group meets
on the third Wednesday of each
month at noon from September
through May. Sack lunches are
the usual menu with Pot Luck
lunches on special occasions.
Christmas is about the birth of
Christ, so the Chrismon group
makes tree ornaments representing
Jesus, the true meaning of the
season. These “Chrismons” are all
Christian symbols and are made in
gold and white. We welcome your
creativity.
The choir sings on Sunday
morning September through May.
Choir practice is held on Sunday
morning at 8:15. The choir
provides special music during the
church year, at special services,
and sometimes at other churches
and community events.

The Quilting Group makes pieced
quilts for persons both locally
(through The Children's Cabinet
and Veteran’s Guest House) and
globally (through Lutheran World
Relief.) We enjoy creating these
wonderful gifts and welcome all
who want to help. We meet twice
a month. Everyone is welcome.
Quilting experience is not
required.
The Monday afternoon Bible
Study Group is currently involved
in a study of the book of
Revelation. The group meets every
Monday, except holidays, at 1:30
in the Narthex.
Wouldn't it be nice to learn about
your parents & grandparents
thoughts, desires and activities?
Those of us in the Journaling
class feel that would be special so
we are creating journals for our
children and grandchildren.  After
reading about our lives they will
better be able to understand us
and maybe be surprised at some of
the things we have done &
accomplished.  Its great fun -
come join us
.
The mission of Family Promise is
to help low-income families
achieve lasting independence and
to redress the underlying cause of
poverty and homelessness. Holy
Cross members actively participate
in helping Family Promise feed
and spend time with needy
families in our community.

The purpose of Shared Harvest is
to alleviate poverty and hunger by
soliciting and judiciously
distributing wholesome grocery
products to a network of
charitable food pantries, soup
kitchens, shelters and other
distributing organizations. Holy
Cross members participate actively
in the buying, and distributing
food to needy people within our
community through shared
harvest.
Ladies of the Club Book Group is
a group of adult women meeting
once a month to discuss an
agreed-upon book selection.  It
has been our practice to read only
women authors.  We announce
our selections in the churches
newsletter. Feel free to contact the
church office for details.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn
from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rest for your souls. ~Matthew 11:28-29
